My Story

My Psychology Journey

Psychology has always been a passion of mine. At 25, after noticing that my child functioned differently, I began to reflect on my own experiences and sought answers. I researched bipolar disorder and various other avenues, constantly reading, watching informative videos, and exploring new literature. One pivotal moment was when I read a book about highly sensitive children, which introduced me to the autism spectrum.

As I completed questionnaires for my child, I found that many descriptions resonated with my own experiences. While seeking a diagnosis for my child, I also began to pursue one for myself. I received my diagnosis at 27, but my child faced challenges within the public assessment system, only receiving their autism spectrum disorder diagnosis at 10. Our journey was compounded by the difficulties presented by a system that failed my child, particularly as they were placed in segregated settings at school.

After recognizing these hurdles, I transitioned my child to a distributed learning school, which enabled us to secure a private assessment that confirmed their diagnosis. The challenge was that my child, like all my children, presented as neurotypical, which had contributed to the public system's oversight.

During my research phase at 25, I felt drawn to pursue a master’s in Counselling Psychology, but the traditional learning environment felt overwhelming. Instead, I nurtured my creativity and launched my artisan business, exploring various artistic expressions. I married and welcomed two more children, both of whom also received ASD diagnoses. As online educational opportunities expanded, I returned to my studies, working towards my Master’s while obtaining certifications in various healing modalities.

In my own journey through traditional therapy, I discovered that I could only find limited help and healing. Most therapists and therapeutic approaches cater primarily to neurotypical individuals, often overlooking the unique needs of neurodivergent clients. Being neurodivergent myself, I recognize that my mind operates differently, necessitating alternative therapeutic methods.

In 2024, I sought out a neurodivergent therapist, understanding that I needed someone who could truly grasp how my brain functions from a place of firsthand experience. Throughout my ASD journey, I've witnessed how often we are misunderstood, with few supports genuinely addressing our needs. This realization has inspired me to step into a role that helps others within the neurodivergent community.

Having more therapists, counsellors, and healers who are neurodivergent creates a safer space for those seeking support. Knowing that the person assisting you shares similar experiences fosters a sense of safety, allowing individuals to open up and receive the help they need.

My Spiritual Healing Journey

My spiritual path began at 16, but it wasn't until I turned 20 that I truly delved into it. I discovered a book on trees connected to Celtic paganism, which sparked my interest. After a decade of exploration, I fully embraced my spiritual journey at 30.

Currently, I practice Witchcraft, and you can read more about this in my blog. My spiritual practice encompasses working with oracle cards, manifestation, spells, rituals, the elements, plant spirits, and lunar cycles. I possess several intuitive abilities:

  • Clairsentience: The ability to sense energy and information about people, places, or events, often described as "clear feeling."

  • Claircognizance: The instant knowing of information without logical reasoning, referred to as "clear knowing."

  • Precognition: The ability to foresee future events or outcomes, often manifesting through dreams or intuitive feelings.

  • Astral Projection: The practice of consciously leaving one’s physical body to explore other realms or dimensions.

I am currently honing my energy healing abilities, using intention and energy to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.

I believe that healing is not a one-size-fits-all journey. It is an amalgamation of many modalities. In my practice, I integrate my artistic skills, therapeutic arts, somatic/IFS healing, trauma work, and spirituality to better support those who seek my guidance.

I am honoured to walk by your side through your healing journey.
