Imprinting Nature: The Rhythmic Release of Hammered Flowers (2)
Sun, Jun 07
|Oliver Woods Community Centre
In the sanctuary, we often talk about "High Tide" energy—those moments when frustration, overstimulation, or big emotions feel like they are crashing against the shore. Join us for a 3-hour immersive session of Hapa Zome (the Japanese art of pounding flowers into fabric).

About the event
The Somatic & Emotional Release:
Rhythmic Pounding: This is our most active, high-impact workshop. The repetitive, forceful action of the hammer allows for a profound somatic release of pent-up energy, moving it out of the body and onto the cloth.
Capturing the Glimmer: As the pigment of the flower imprints onto the fabric, we are literally "capturing the life force" of the plant. It is a powerful metaphor for taking a difficult moment and transforming it into something resilient and beautiful.
The Final Container: Your "Emotional Landscape" will be created on a premium 12" x 18" heavy linen canvas. To seal the journey, each participant receives a 12-inch Magnetic Teak Hanger, allowing your "Inner Light" to be displayed immediately upon returning home.
Community: You will connect with others and enjoy food and drinks
