Oliver Woods Community Centre

In the sanctuary, we often speak of our "Internal Protectors"—those parts of us that have developed to “protect” our Inner Light. Join us for a 3-hour sensory immersion where we use the flow and rhythm of relief paint to create a high-relief, tactile guardian animal on canvas.

About the event

The Sensory & Emotional Connection:

  • Sculpting the Protector: Using relief paint, you will "draw" over the silhouette of your chosen Spirit Animal. Whether it is the rhythmic scales of a fish, the jagged fur of a wolf, or the delicate wings of a dragonfly, the physical "pull" of the paint creates a deep, grounding Flow State. • The Flow & Rhythm Cycle: This workshop plays with the somatic pull and drag of the paint. As it forms into a permanent ridge, it provides a tactile metaphor for how our "High Tide" emotions can find a safe, solid foundation.

  • Tactile Topography: Once your animal’s "skeleton" is built in high-relief, we use vibrant acrylics and washes to bring the scene to life. The result is a 3D textured…
